Woo! I've been to the gym twice this week, and I'm feeling good. I discovered that the Faculty/Staff weight room is deserted on Tuesday nights at 8:00, which could be a good time for me to go this summer. It's hard to go right after work, and it's impossible to go before work, so the evenings may be my best bet. It's a little cooler outside, so my energy isn't zapped just by the walk down to my car. I had previously discounted evenings because I didn't want all of that excitement just before bedtime to keep me up, but I slept really well last night and even woke up before my alarm went off. And I'm not sluggish at work today. I haven't had a Diet Coke yet this morning, and sometimes, I'm in for three by 11:00. Yay for the gym.

I think I am going to try to cut back on my Diet Coke intake and drink more water. I read something the other day about how drinking sweet-tasting things without calories (like DC) confuses your body, so it tries to overcompensate by craving more sweet things. I don't know about all that, but 3 or 4 DCs a day (before 6:00pm, even, I don't drink them later so I can sleep) can not be healthy.
